Taman Ayun Temple A World Heritage Site

Taman Ayun is an enormous temple compound nestled in Mengwi sub-district, more or less 18 km from the heart of Denpasar. Taman Ayun literally translates as a beautiful garden and is regarded as one of the most attractive temples in Bali.
It was built in 1634 by the King of Mengwi, I Gusti Agung Putu. The Temple is bordered by widw canals which irrigate the fields around the site.
